We just bought a house that came with a Moose Z900 alarm system. This week we had a power failure in our town that lasted about 2 hours. My wife said shortly after the power went off the smoke detectors and key pads all started alarming. Looking in the manual and online threads I had her try to arm then disarm the system, hold the 7 key in for three seconds, and press and hold the * key. Nothing would silence the alarm. I rushed home from work to hear the high pitched beeping as soon as I pulled in the drive way. I then went to the main control panel box and unplug the battery backup. That took care of everything except the smoke detectors. So I removed the 9 volt batteries from those and the house was finally quiet again. As I was showing my wife what I did the power came back on... go figure.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way (other than the chaos described above) to silence the alarm in the event that this happens again.
Thanks in advance for the help.
