DVR Recommendations?
« on: February 20, 2011, 10:51:05 PM »
I searched back through the threads but didn't find quite what I was looking for.

I am looking for recommendations for a DVR.  I only need a couple cameras.  Image quality good enough for the police to use is my priority.  I read enough in the forum to feel comfortable with camera selection but not the DVR.

I tried a Night Owl Kit and while the monitored image was good the saved image wasn't.

There are lots of DVR which fulfill you requirement. The thing which really important is that how much do you want to spend on a DVR. Go to any DVR website like apexcctv or 123-cctv and choose anyone with your required features.

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone else (like me) stumbling across it, the monoprice.com DVRs have gotten high marks for value.  For ease of use the averusa.com units seem to have a very positive buzz.  I have downloaded the averusa.com software, but haven't  installed it yet to test it out.
