DVR for IP Cameras
« on: July 13, 2014, 12:08:20 PM »
I have 10 IP cameras.  They record on an internal 32gb SD disks.  Unfortunately the disk record only about 3 days data.  I would like more data than that.  I was thinking I would install a large NAS and record to that.  But I really want a system that I don't have to delete data and search manually for times etc.

Do they make any IP DVRs?

Thanks for any help.

I realize that this thread is a few months old, but to answer your question...

They are called NVRs (network video recorders). Many vendors make dedicated devices (best option), or you could also run NVR software on your existing computer.
