Advice needed
« on: November 30, 2014, 06:16:39 PM »
Hello all....

I am looking to setup a wireless system at my home and would like advice on systems.

Budget: ~$1,000 USD

4 motion sensors that don't go off with a pet (dog ~60 pounds)
3 door sensors
12 window sensors
2 basement window sensors
1) keypad downstairs (I would like an LCD touchscreen)
1) keypad upstairs
1) interior siren
1) exterior siren

Control via iPhone and/or Macbook.
Ability to expand to fire sensors and carbon monoxide sensors at a later date.

I would also like to be able to control the system from my iPhone or Macbook.

My house is extremely old and well built.  There are actual logs in the framing so no drilling will be done.  This includes the 2nd keypad upstairs.

Qolsys panel and 2Gig panel would suit your needs for the touchscreen interface and the remote access for you phone,, with both you would need an account for the interactive
