hi all I am new here if some one could give me some help it would be greatly apreciated I have a ELK M1 gold that I installed myself about 4 years ago it has been working great but last weekend when I was out of town I got two false alarms about 12 hours apart both on the same zone a bosch BLUE LINE GEN2 TRITECH MOTION PERP DETECTOR model isc-bdl2-wp12g
this is installed in my living room at 7'6" high in the corner of the room the room is 13x23 with 15 ft. high vaulted cieling I am wondering how to trouble shoot or prevent any more false alarms thanks in advance Stan

With a 4 year old system and trouble with a device requiring aux power the first thing to check is the standby battery. The normal life span of a battery is about 2 to 4 years.
