Various Line Failure and Restore messages

Does anyone have any idea why my Powermax Pro might be having issues detecting a connection with the phone line.

Nothing is touched or moved and yet every so often the line detection fails and then some time later it will reconnect again. See log below. And there isn't any clear pattern too.

What type of phone service do you have?  Traditional copper from Ma Bell or VOIP (Comcast, Vonage, Ooma, etc.)?

1. might be ACTUAL loss of line .  I might wait it out and see if it goes away (my guess, because the service is being serviced or their amp is going bad).  My line goes out every month for a minute or so (VOIP), at least it used to, not so sure anymore without checking the log.

2. if the wiring is wrong then maybe it's still marginally functional.  You could reverse tip+ring (typically red and green) and try it (I don't THINK it'll destroy your equipment, and sometimes solves the issue - but no warranty from me).

3. I've had 3 different forms of VOIP and no issues actually monitoring the line.  When the panel said "line out" , sure enough the line was dead.

Try performing a manual test and see if you still get the trouble.  If so, then your panel is not seeing the line or there is an issue with it's integrity.
