Lose chime mode after entering/exiting Installer mode
« on: December 01, 2017, 02:10:37 PM »
Hi everyone.  I have a 6160 keypad and a Vista 20P.  I like to keep it in Chime mode (4-digit code + 9).

When I enter installer mode, then exit installer mode (*99), the chime mode setting is lost and I need to enter my 4-digit code + 9 agian.

Is there any way to avoid that step and have the chime mode be persistent?

Thanks!

No, that is how it's designed to work and you can't change it unfortunately.

Once you're done with the setup, you shouldn't have to go in and out of programming very often so it becomes less of a hassle once you're done with the system setup.
Alarmgrid.com offers the full line of Honeywell security equipment and no contract alarm monitoring services with plans starting at only $10/month. Come check us out to see detailed product descriptions catered towards the DIY security community.
