MA3000 EZM questions
« on: December 28, 2017, 05:48:44 PM »
Hi all.....

Working on a monster Napco MA3000 system right now for a newly acquired customer.  I'm dangerously familiar with Napco, and have a couple of questions.

We are adding two 8-zone EZMs and a keypad to an addition.  It's so hard to find the correct model numbers for Napco, the manual doesn't say.  I'm guessing GEM-EZM8 is the correct model for the zone expanders?  My parts lady gave me GEM-EZM4/8 and they didn't work.  Also, an alpha keypad for the MA3000 would be the RP3000LCDe correct?

Also, to get these expanders working, all I have to do it turn on the 4-zone option for both addresses taken by the EZM in EZM programming, and have the jumpers set correctly, correct?  I was pulling my hair out over this today, but I realized after the fact that I had GEM-EZM4/8s.

I don't have experience with MA3000 but the manual says the expander module should be EZM 3004 or 3008. The system could work only with the RP3000LCD keypad.
I hope this helped.
