Re: Bosch DS835 Cover Needed

Sometimes if you're really lucky, you'll find somebody selling a non-working device "for parts" (meaning it doesn't work) at a reduced price; but you could wait years for a non-working DS835 to show up on eBay.

I have to agree with AlarmMike, if you want to fix it now, you're probably going to have to bite the bullet and buy the complete motion.  You may be able to recover some of the cost by selling your existing motion innards on eBay.

Thanks Everyone, I was just trying to avoid any further problems that I may incurr.  I hope all I need to do is r&r the replacement motion, using the same 3 wire connections and I'm done.  Since I have to purchase a replacement, Is there a motion sensor other than the DS835 that I should purchase for my Caddx NX-6
Networkx that would work better  other than the Bosch.

There should be 4 wires, and hardwire motions are pretty much universal across all panel manufacturers.

I am merging your other thread that discusses this same request.

I broke the bank and rather than look for an antiquated cover, I purchased a New Bosch ISC-BDL2-WP12G Blue Line Gen2 Pet Friendly TriTech Motion Detector
Hopefully I will be able to install without difficulty

Just be sure to set the microwave range to the minimum necessary to accomplish detection.  If you set it too far to the maximum, the microwave will pass through the walls and detect motion outside the home.
