Configure a Door Sensor for Alerts DSC1832 /EVL4
« on: March 16, 2018, 09:55:40 PM »
I would like to know how can I configure a door sensor to receive alerts through EVL4 when it's open, but do not trigger an alarm.

I tried zone definition 03 Instant, and attributes 1 Silent 5 No Force Arming, but had no luck.

Any hint?

Thanks

To receive an "alert" requires a reporting code to be sent, thus an "alarm" signal needs to be generated.

If it's simply to monitor the door status, you could program the zone as type (26) 24hr Non-alarm.

If you gave more details for the application, it would help.

You could select that zone as a Zone Follower on the EyezON user logon page. It will send you a text when that zone faults.

With the free service you can only select one zone to follow and it will only send one text every 5 minutes.  If you subscribe to their $5/mo optional service you eliminate the restrictions.

Sorry for my late reply and thank you for your answer
What about using zone type (11) 24-hour Burglary and just set a silent alarm?
It is basically a communication module which you can set-up through the supplier web page

Thanks!!
