Hardwire or wireless?
What zones are they on?
What zone types programmed as?
Did you enable the zones on partition?

thank you for your quick response.
here I tried to respond to your questions.

Hardwire or wireless?
all exiting hard wire. I reset the panel to get the master code.

What zones are they on?
I have:
zone 1 for front and patio door contacts
Zone 2 for windows..main floor
zone 3 empty
zone 4 basement windows
zone 5 motion detector
zone 6 motion detector
zone 7 garage interir door hardwired to the keypad direct z terminal

What zone types programmed as?
not sure if you are asking about zone defenition section[001]. I have 01 03 00 03 05 05 01 00
Did you enable the zones on partition?
if this is section [202]
I have zones 1.2.4.5.6.7 on?

Did you allow the exit delay to expire prior to opening the door?  The green check mark turns off at the end of the exit delay at which point the system is truly armed.

Awesome thank you.
that was the problem.
It works now.

one thing I noticed., when I arm the key pad. it takes 5 seconds before the pad shows it is armed. (red  lights on) did I program something wrong

Are you entering your code or one button arming?  Sometimes there is a slight delay, maybe (~1-2 seconds), from last code digit to the start of the exit delay.  5 seconds sounds long.  For experienced programmers who "fly" through sections, in and out of programming, etc. while programming will sometimes go faster than the processor can keep up and the keypad will seem to "lock up" for a couple seconds until it "catches up".

But normally, after you enter your code or press either stay or away, both the red and green lights should turn on.  Then at the end of the exit delay, the green light will go out and the red will remain lit.

Thank you.
the delay is more than 1_2 seconds. That is why I  recognized it as it was slower than what I had before resetting the panel.
after I arm,  lights go off and when they come back on, it is 4 seconds later.

Imagine your computer some times slow to respond.... this is slow every time....
I guess, if this is not related to programing then we will get use to it😃

Original backup battery in the panel?  Older than 3-5 years, probably need to replace it.  Sounds as though the keypad is losing power briefly when you arm it.  Did you monkey with any wiring other than AC?

For sure, I will check the battery. It is older than 5.

I did not play with any wiring except z1 where I removed it to reset the master code. I put it back on.

It must be the battery.

thank you very much.
