Away arm with remote
« on: January 09, 2019, 04:45:29 AM »
Hi all, I hope you can help.

I have a DSC PC1808v4.7 with a PK5516 keypad.

One of my zones is a Momentary Keyswitch Arm [22].

The trouble I'm having is this. We leave the house, and when off the property, arm with the remote. Unfortunately the system gets armed in STAY mode, not AWAY mode. The problem is that the internal PIRs [05] are then not armed.

I have tried removing all Delay zones [01], making them Instant [03], and all other perimeter mags are Interior/Delay [25] (this is because when we are at home, and by mistake open a window, we do not want the alarm to trigger, but rather buy us some time to disarm and prevent false signals).

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the remote to force arm in away mode!?

Not real familiar with that panel but check section 023 bit 8, on the 1832 panel that tells keyswitch to arm in away, possibly the same for your 1808
