Easiest way to disable bell?
« on: February 05, 2019, 01:49:26 PM »
PC1832, not monitored.

Can I wire a concealed switch in the bell circuit to shut off the bell in case the system acts up? I'm using a lot of non-DSC or "certified" sensors, so anything can happen.

Or is there a better/more conventional way to do this?

You could wire a toggle switch in series with the bell circuit.

The bell circuit will be looking for a load otherwise it will show a trouble. If you wire in a toggle switch, put in a DPDT and add a 1K resistor for the load side.
