Thank you for your help.  Decided to program the wife a key fob since I have no more hardwire openings for a 5883 or 5800TM for the status on the wireless keyboard.

Thank you especially for helping a novice DIYer.  It is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for another question.  I decided to setup a key fob for my wife since the Wireless keypad hit a snag.  I have a RF receiver 5881ENM which has 16 zones.  Our zones start at 33 and end at 48.  I had 6 wireless smoke & Co2 devices I install in 33-37.  I have a wireless door sensor in zone 38.  I started installing the key fob in zone 39 for disarm (22), zone 40 arm-away(21).  When I got to zone 41 I installed Arm-stay (20) and it did not work.  Confused I install arm-stay in zone 40 and it worked fine.

Arm-Stay setup.  40 (zone),20 (arm-stay),1 (Part),5 (Button), 0 (Comm),Axxx-xxxx, 4 (L).

I am a novice at the settings but it seems that zones 40-48 are not working or I need to change something in the setup to use them.  I took the cover off the 5881ENM and verified it was in fact a ENM not a EN.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I knew I was missing something.   I have no more hardwire points on the 3 expanders hence why I added the wireless 5828V.

Hi All:

I added a Honeywell Wireless Keypad to my Security System Vista21ip.  I checked the Home ID and matched the keypad.  I have A/C adapter and the pad just displays No A/C  Not Ready.  I verified that the A/C was working by removing AA Batteries.  Works fine.  I can Arm Away(xxxx2), Arm Stay(xxxx3) and Disarm (xxxx1).  But I get no status at all.  I tried the setup [1] + [3] in both Lynx and Vista.  Setting are currently  [1] - xx house ID  [2] - 1 vista  [3] - 3 delay [4] - 1 noise enable  [5] - 2 Vista Controls  [6] - 1 single button.  I also have a 5881ENM Wireless Receiver.

Questions - should the LEDs Green and Red on left work (armed & ready)?  Also should the panel say A/C and ready to arm?  Should the chime work?

Appreciate any guidance & help here.

I have been searching for some time for an inexpensive IPCAM NVR that actually works...

I thought I might mention that I found one of the NVR that actually works well.  I picked up the DVR for $105 shipped and picked up a 4TB WD Purple drive for it.  So far so good.  I know it is a China made unit, but it works extremely well with my IPCAM Vivotek ONVIF cameras.  It records my 1MP & 2MP cameras at 15 FPS and can record up to 1 month of data on 9 cameras.

Not sure if it is ok to list links to other sights that have items for sale, but I will entertain any PM with more info if there is any interest.

Thanks,

M

Well still looking for a NVR with at least 4TB and wired gigabit RG45.  Since I have all  Mac OS and IOS computers and devices it seems it has to have a web interface.  I have 8 Vivotek HD IP cameras One is a 2MP and the rest are 1MP (3 Wireless and 5 POE).  I also have a portable Cisco PTZ indoor camera that I use occasionally.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

How did you setup DMZ?  Did you just set source to IP and destination to the Tuxedo?

Thanks,

M

Still get the error: "Warning Remote access has been deactivated.  Go to your Tuxedo's login setup to create an account or reactivate an account for remote access.  I have the enable remote login checked and have a simple active account enabled."   This worked fine with my old tuxedo non wifi.  Go figure...

Well that might be my problem.  I was forwarding internal port 80.  I will try forwarding internal port 6280.

Thanks !!

Hit my IP remotely on the port I setup in the router.  Try to login but it always says login but it will not allow me.

No sure about budget.  Looks like I see NVRs in the $600 - $1300 range.  Camers are Vivotek and Cisco.

Thanks for the reply.
